The Rainmaker

Rain don’t fall from blue skies
And tears don’t fall from blue eyes.
You stole all the blue
And gave grey back to you
But mine are more black than blue.
And from this darkened hue,
Fall drops of love
To soak the soi(/u)l and give birth to new.
Drown the old
Birth the new.
why is it required to leave your email?
of course i thought it was about the show. instrumentalists, should i leave when the cops threaten to tear it down? but of course it could mean anything.
the muscians could be anyone. damn metaphors.
see what i mean? english class here we go.
It’s required that you leave your email to keep bots from spamming me. You could leave a fake email, but you’d have to make it convincing or I think my spam catcher might figure out it’s made up. Even if it gets past that, I have to approve it, unless there’s already an approved comment from that email/name combination.
You wouldn’t believe how much spam gets caught daily. 250 comments in the past two weeks. I’d hate to have to go through all of those, so I try to bot-proof the comments as much as possible.
As far as interpretation, the reader is going to read what he or she wishes to read regardless of what the writer intended to write. The most I can do (without defeating the purpose of writing poetry in the first place) is to guide.
…but, for you, maybe I’ll explain it later. Words and I aren’t on speaking terms right now.
